Florida State loses at home to N.C.State 27-21 for the first time since 2005. The seminoles defense and offensive line need did not help out true freshman quarterback James Blackman in his first college start. The Seminoles are now 0-2 for the first time since 2011. N.C.State took advantage of mismatches and misdirection plays to keep Seminoles defenders off balance. Ryan Finley, directed an effective short passing game finishing 22-32 for 230 yards and 2 touchdowns. James Blackman had a solid first outing completing 22/38 for 278 and 1 touchdown. Jaylen Samuels did everything from passing, receiving and rushing. Both teams look for a victory next week in conference play.
